Events - Event View

We will have an all day sew-in for our Community Service projects. The focus will be on making pillowcases for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We would like childlike or holiday pillowcases. We ask that you bring your own fabric for the pillowcases. You will need a total of 1 yd of fabric for 1 pillow case - 3/4 yd for the body and 1/4 yard for the cuff. If you'd like to add a flange you will need a 2 inch strip.

We will also be making walker/wheelchair bags for the nursing home. I will have a few kits available but you are welcome to bring your own fabric.

For the Walker Bags you will need:
- 2 pieces of fabric measuring 18" x 36" (one of these should be heavier weight fabric like denim or canvas)
- Ribbon measuring 1/2 inch or fabric measuring 2" x 54" for ties.
- 1/2 yard of sew on velcro

We will provide the patterns but they are also on the Community Service page.

Lunch will be provided for those attending for the day.
