Upcoming Meetings

2023 Schedule - Subject to change

April 4,  An Afternoon Tea, Business Meeting and Trunk Show, Chapel, Broyles Hall, 1pm

Presentation by Shannon Armstrong, “An Afternoon Tea With Aunt Della” Trunk Show.

Find those hats and gloves, we are having a tea!!!

We hope you will join us for our April meeting.  We will be hosting a delightful "tea", with all the goodies to include finger sandwiches, scones and sweets.  A few surprises will go along with our theme and show and tell too!  PLUS, a wonderful trunk by our presenter Shannon Armstrong.

Shannon is a home economist who grew up in Central Indiana and studied at Purdue University.  With her first quilt class in 1982, she turned a lifelong love of fabric and sewing into a passion. She taught classes and helped customers at the local quilt shop for 18 years.  After inheriting the quilting boxes of a deceased aunt, born in 1878, Shannon researched the quilts and family stories of her aunt’s life to create the program, “ Remembering Aunt Della”.  Through storytelling and a display of original and reproduced quilts, many of Della's personal treasures have inspired hundreds of quilters. Several patterns based on this antique quilt collection have been published using modern piecing techniques.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!
